Happy Birthday to Me!

All of these are pictures from my second birthday. My mom made that cake. Insane, huh? Also, almost all the kids in the pictures are my siblings. I know. I have a ton.

Hey, guess what, guys? It's my 24th birthday today! I've always been a big fan of birthdays, and I am a particularly huge fan of surprises. Karl really killed it this year. We celebrated my birth all week with fancy dinners, seeing the movies I wanted to see (hello Gangster Squad and The Untouchables), a workout clothes shopping spree and the receipt of this (which I've wanted forever), and this (which is probably the best pallet I've ever owned.

Anyways, it's a good day. The sun is shining, for the first time in weeks I can see the mountains (the smog has been a nightmare), and we discussed on of my favorite mock-epic poems in my post 1800s literature class (Don Juan by Lord Byron- Read it. It's hilarious). On top of that, Karl left work to bring me Starbucks and flowers this morning as well as fill up my car and leave a Diet Coke and Snickers in it waiting for me. That guy, I tell ya.

24 feels a little strange, unlike any age before. I feel a little older and a little more optimistic. Life is pretty awesome. Enjoy this, the day of my birth. Hahah.
