Friday:
Karl and I treated ourselves to Tepanyaki (a Japanese steakhouse) for dinner and went to see The Avengers. It was awesome. Just as amazing as I expected. We want to see it again ASAP.
Saturday:
We did a ton of shopping and we bought a grill! Finally! Haha. We also made like a million trips to Lowes to buy all the stuff we needed for our little garden. This post shows some pictures of our baby seedlings, but now they are sprouted and in the ground! We spent the entire last half of the day mixing dirt, filling pots and planting! Our garden is ready and

| And this is our fence covered in "rose trees" as we like to call them. The roses are the neighbor's, but he didn't trim them last year, so this year they are out of control. Still gorgeous though! |
My parents were visiting my aunts and uncles in Idaho, but drove back down to Salt Lake to come to church with Karl and I. Afterward, we had a little barbeque on our new grill and watched The Count of Monte Cristo. My parents had somehow made it through life without having seen it! Later, we went out to dinner with my brother and his family.

| The shoes are my new favorite addition to my wardrobe. So cute and so comfortable. And they're from Payless. Who knew? |
Monday:
So I know Monday isn't technically the weekend, but I did do something exciting! I was on TV! I was on a segment on KSL (Utah news) about using everyday household items in unusual ways. I made Jello lip stain, rehydrated old mascara with saline, and cut mozzarella and angel food cake with floss. And I got to hang out with the anchors for a minute. It was pretty fun!

Well, my parents are gone now, I don't have any TV appearances in the near future, and life is back to normal. This week is my last week of vacation before I start my job, so I'm going to live it up!
How was your weekend? Did you do anything exciting? Have you ever been on TV?
