Guest Blogger: Ashley of That Super Awesome Blog

Good morning! Today is the 20 Something Bloggers blog swap, so Ashley from That Super Awesome Blog is delighting you all with her presence here while I'm over at her blog today.

TwentyTwenty

Hi ya'll! I'm AshleyD from That Super Awesome Blog and Kristie was sweet enough to host my guest post today. Now, before we get started, I have to be honest about something.

Summer is not my favorite season.

I know, right? But really, I hate it. Give me snow and boots and scarves any day. But since we're in the thick of a heat wave here in Texas, I thought pep myself up and share a few things that would make up my perfect summer afternoon. I mean, I'm practically an expert on living in 100 degree heat. Seriously, it's so hot!

My afternoon would start of with the perfect outfit. There's really no way to beat the heat, but the fact that you can wear a cute sundress totally helps!

Next, we need something to cool off. I found this raspberry lemonade recipe on Pinterest, and oh my goodness, it sounds divine! Having a delicious drink in the afternoon is one of the simple pleasure in life, especially in the summer!

If you need a snack to go with you afternoon drink, you must try this guacamole recipe! Who doesn't love avocados? Yum!

And after you're so full you can't move and decide you could really use a nap, find the nearest hammock. Have you ever spent an afternoon in one of these? There isn't much better! Of course, if it's super hot outside, it might be smarter to wait until the sun goes down! Grab a book or maybe your favorite cuddle buddy and you'll be cozy for hours.

Now you definitely need some music to round out this perfect summer afternoon. One of my favorite songs of the moment is Barton Hollow by The Civil Wars.

Or you could keep things a little bit old school with NKOTB's Summertime!

What about you, how would you spend your perfect summer afternoon?

omg I need that lemonade recipe! I always liked fall best myself, and think that summer's job is the usher in my favorite season. The funny thing is, if we could kill the cold of winter and keep fall weather for half the year, I'd be perfectly happy. I don't get all our crazy weather!
