Our New Kitty Cat

Hello Friends!  As Kristie mentioned the other day, we got a cute little baby kitten this last weekend.  We went to the annual Pet Super Adoption on a quest for the newest member of our family.  The Pet Super Adoption is crazy!  They bring homeless pets from all over and cram them into an empty shopping center. The variety of cats that you can find there is crazy!.  The first cat we saw and wanted was a gigantic black cat that they had all dressed up with a bandanna.  I have always wanted to have a super, super fat cat.  They are just cool.  When we first started talking about getting a cat, we started looking for one of those cool, but extremely creepy hairless cats.  I thought it would have been awesome to get a hairless cat and feed it and feed it until it was bulging at the seams.  I'm pretty sure if we did that, we would have been the only family on the block with a jiggly little monster running around.   Anyway, we also fell in love with a giant ginger cat.  It may have been the hugest cat I've ever seen.  We would have adopted him but they told us he had cat aids.  I'm not even sure what even means, but that is what they told us, and he was sleeping in his litter box, so that's gross.  We also saw a cat that would wrap his head inside a blanket because he was scared. It was really cute, but also a little sad.  We thought about taking him home, but if he is hiding out under blankets, I would feel really bad if I crushed him getting into bed one day. After seeing lots and lots of cats, we finally found "the one." She is a cute little white toasted "marshmallow" cat.  That is the name they had on her cage: Marshmallow.  She is adorable.  We gave her a shoe lace to play with and she loves it.  It will keep her entertained for hours.  We still haven't decided on a name for her.  I like Princess Sophie, Kristie likes Kitten, and Grace our niece, when asked what we should name out cat, said Cabella.  I'm actually leaning toward that one myself.  What do you guys think? Take the poll below and let us know!

Anyway, we love out new kitten.  Here are some pictures, and a video we took so you can love her too!

She likes to sit on top of Kristie's boobs.

The cutest thing ever
Don't mind the noise. It's just Jackie Chan during a fight sequence. No big deal. And it's sideways. My bad.

Love,
Karl

Hi it's Kristie again! Isn't Karl a big old softy? Yeah. I love that about him. Anyways, the moral of the story is to adopt an animal. If you've been thinking about it, but just haven't yet, I highly recommend you do. It feels really nice knowing we made a difference in a poor, homeless kitten's life. I particularly like The Humane Society because all of their animals are spayed or neutered, have had their shots, and come with a free vet visit to a participating veterinarian. There's really no down side. I can't say enough good things about Kitten. She's cute and playful and she keeps crying kids entertained for hours. Haha. Well, I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Food for thought: Princess Sophie is far too similar to Princess Sophia (ref: How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days) and your kitten will forever remind me of Matthew McConaughey's eh-he-hum, ya know. I do rather like Cabella. Your niece is in fact a genius!

PS- Sorry if I just ruined that name for you. =P

Hahah, you have a very good point, my dear. I think Cabella it is! Though I'm still secretly going to call her Kitten. Like how my mom named Pudge Cocoa, but we all still just called him Pudge.
