Warewolf Barmitzvah, Spooky Scary

We're attractive

Our Halloween Decor

Yes we had treat bags for all of our guests!

Karl frosted the brown cookies. They were supposed to be cats. Haha.

Karl and I hosted a little friendly Halloween gathering last night for a few of our married friends. Apparently we're big on alliteration because there were Karl and Kristie, Stratton and Stacy, Dixie and Dan, and Jordan and Jenny. Alyssa and Tyler were also there, but they lack the same first letter of their first name, which doesn't make us adore them any less, but doesn't support my point. Anyways, the party was super fun. We didn't get a ton of pictures, but the ones we did get were decent. I was baking (and stressing)ALL day. I made my first cookie cutter sugar cookies and frosted them. Karl and I also had fun frosting cupcakes with our neon frosting that I made. After a long day we had some time to kill before the party so Karl treated me to dinner at Texas Roadhouse, which was uhmazing. How was your Halloween?

Thoughts from today

1. My boss is a Grade A Moron.
2. Hot chocolate is so so so good. Especially with a granola bar.
3. I'm tired.
4. I'm at the drive up today and really hope no more customers come. Ever.
5. I get nervous at the though of doing something without Karl.
6. I cannot stop listening to "Becoming a Jackal" by Villagers. Thanks Lindsay.
7. My bangs need to be cut. Like now.
8. Apparently the Celtics won the other night. So sad about not being able to watch the games.
9. That coat from Old Navy will be mine.
10. 30 Rock is so good.
Jack- "We're not the best"
Liz- "But we're not the worst"
In unison- "Graduate students. They're the worst"
11. I actually really love the snow and secretly sing that song from White Christmas whenever it snows. "Snow, snow, snow, snow, SNOW!"
12. Chelsey is here way too early, which means I have to go back to the branch. Devastating.

Comfort

I think it's time I introduced the love of my life. We've been together for about 17 years. Through thick and thin. He's come with me on almost every plane flight I've ever been on. He's been there through scared nights and sad events. He was there on my wedding night (sasa!), and he is absolute favorite thing to sleep next to. So here he is... Ernie Pillow.

Ya, he's pretty ratty, some people even call him gross and lumpy. But it's his lumpiness that makes him so great. Ernie Pillow is the best thing ever. And I'm pretty possessive of him. Just ask Karl when he tries to take him in the middle of the night. Haha. So there you have it. Judge me if you will.

Pumpkins!

Last night Karl and I had a double date with our best friends, Alyssa and Tyler. We'd been planning to carve pumpkins for a long time and last night was finally the time to do it! I should also mention that Alyssa got braces two days ago. Poor Lyss. But the braces inspired such a cute pumpkin!

The Hubs with his pumpkin (His pumpkin was two freak pumpkins that grew together into one with two stems!)

Besties with pumpkins... And accidentally matching sweaters.

Lyss and Ty. We love them.

Bestie's pumpkins. Harry Potter and Braceface.

Our pumpkins all lit up!

Such a fun night! I love the fall! It just started pouring. I'm going to put on a hoodie and get some breakfast with the hubs. :) Have a good weekend!

I miss when this was work. Such good times.

I cannot wait until I'm in school again and I can ditch this ridiculous job of mine.

And to answer any questions my coworkers may have about me:
-No, I'm not 10 years old.
-Yes, I know what I'm doing.
-No, I don't want to close every.single.day.
-No, I don't want to do all those things you're simply too lazy to do.
-Yes, I loathe you entirely.

Two and a half months until hopefully I can be a drive up teller. The drive up is across the street, which means I would be in complete solitary bliss, spared the scrutiny of micromanaging bosses, and far from the laziness of the bankers.

Two and a half more months... I can do this...

Ah, ah, I like it.

Why is it impossible to get "Baby I Like It" out of my head?

Fun Fact About Me

When I have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, I refuse to look in the mirror. I'm terrified of looking into mirrors in the dark. There you have it. Irrational though it may be.

A New Leaf

So as of late, mine and Karl's eating habits have gotten a little out of hand. We eat out a lot. And it's showing. I think a good deal of this is stress eating and a good deal of this is laziness. I don't cook. I'm just not good at it. Karl is, but we're both so tired after work. All excuses, I know. Well, yesterday we started to think how much we were spending in a month and it's obscene. So for our health and our budget, we are making a goal starting Monday. We are going to go a whole month without eating out. Although, we have allowed ourselves two dates in that month in which we can eat at a nice sit down restaurant to indulge ourselves. So I guess it's a whole month only eating out twice. Wish us luck. We're going to need it.

Oh and we're giving up soda too. I'm going to die.

Furnishing

So after Karl left this morning at 6:30, I couldn't get back to sleep. So what did I do? I laid in bed for an hour and thought about what I want to put on my Color Board for LDS Business College's Interior Design Program. That lead me to get on the computer and do a little sifting through ideas. I happened upon the Urban Outfitters website(big surprise there) and found some things I think I need. So here goes:

Mirror Lattice Wall Sculpture

Gold Foiled Floral Pillow

Metal Accordion Side Table

Laboratory Flower Vases

Slipper Chair- Indigo Ikat

Not bad, eh?

Saturday

Saturday was the epitome of perfect days. Here's the run down:
-Went to Donuts and Deli (our favorite donut place in SLC) for breakfast.
-Drove to Lindon to check out a car for sale as Shelma is so close to croaking.
-The car thing didn't work out. It was kind of a junker.
-Visited my sister,Amanda and her family in American Fork.
-Ate some amazing authentic Mexico City- Mexican food for lunch with them.
-Headed back up north to Gardener Village. It's definitely quaint and fun and made me feel like it's finally Fall.
-Discovered my new favorite shop for everything lovely to decorate your home. I want to work there.
-Bough a gorgeous throw pillow! I can't stop looking at it!
-Checked out some things at RCWilley
-Rented a few movies and watched them cuddled up on the couch together.

Overall, it was the most beautiful fall day with the best company ever. :)

And yes. I forgot to take my camera... Again.

Options and a Cry for Help.

Image via Decor Demon. Check out more of Brian Patrick Flynn's re-do of a Rhode Island school's teacher's lounge here. It's gorgeous.

So last night I was presented with two clear cut options for my future.

Option 1: Continue working at a job I dislike, where I make decent money and I am confident in my abilities. Become an assistant manager. Pay off all debt. Be more comfortable financially. Be unhappy. Have kids sooner.

Option 2: Move to part time at current job, or work part time somewhere else. Enroll in LDS Business College's rigorous Interior Design Program. Work hard for four semesters and be done with school. Pay off debt much slower. Be stressed, but happy. Have kids a bit later.

Any suggestions? I really need some input here.
